AFTERSHOCK 2026

Aftershock is the final piece of the Danny Wimmer puzzle and biggest metal festival on the west coast each year. This year they stayed w/ the formula that was presented by the other DWP festivals w/ Limp Bizkit, Tool and My Chemical Romance as headliners. Pierce The Veil is the Saturday headliner which seems odd since they are direct support on a few others however everyone wants new headliners so we cannot complain when we get them. The fest is heavier on Hip Hop then any other DWP fest this year featuring Wu Tang Clan, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Suicide Boys and more on the lineup. One would guess this will be the last appearance for a while for Slaughter to Prevail as they intend on taking 2027 off from the road. One stand alone band A.F.I is featured and not participating in other festivals this year.

5 BANDS TO CHECK OUT AT AFTERSHOCK:

UNLOCO - These guys were part of the Nu Metal scene back in the early 2000’s and imo were very underrated. This will be a reunion for the band as they’ve not played a show in quite some time.
SOULFLY - Led by Brazilian metal legend Max Cavalera, Soulfly burst on the scene in the late 90’s after he left Sepultura. They put on one of the best live performances you’ll see.
INSANE CLOWN POSSE - Yes, the clowns. You can say what you want about ICP but they put on a damn good and fun show. Also they don’t play out as much as they used to so it’s good to catch them while you can.
A.F.I. - As I mentioned they are not featured on many festivals this year so it’s a rarity to see them. I personally have never seen them but they are on the top of my bucket list.
DOOBIE - We caught this guy opening for Nothing More and were so impressed. He plays a real fun set complete w/ a DJ and a cover of Danzig’s “Mother” that’ll sure to be a huge sing along at a DWP festival.
