This was a very special day for so many reasons. The show was put together by Sami Kappler of Kappler Presents who also handles the Gettysburg Bike Week amongst other things. I can honestly say this lineup was something I would have put together as every single band is 717 Entertainment alumni and I enjoy all of them. I was handling hosting duties as perhaps that was Sami’s one flaw: trusting me on a mic. ha. I’m kidding, I was awesome of course :).
Kicking off the show were the kids from the School of Rock Frederick. They had two bands perform. Cemetario and Monocacy. Both were absolutely incredible and played way better than any kid should. There was a sense of family in the air as they took the stage as well. All the bands were basically friends with each other, so it was a big hangout in the back the entire day. For their part the two SOR bands kicked the show off and set the bar about as high as you can get it. Many of the bands were watching side stage with jaws open and amazed looks which is very high praise as these bands have all seen an enormous amount of acts.

Up next was Harrisburg’s favorite pop punk sons in LYNDHURST. This was a bit of a bittersweet moment as the band would be performing for the final time in a while as vocalist Ed Allison is taking time off to be a dad. If you ask me the guy deserves it, he’s in about 700 bands in the area and hosts Karaoke nights when he’s not filling in for other bands. Selfishly, though I’d love to see him play the absent father and play more shows because the band is so fun but that’s just me being an asshole. For the set they
