JEFF PORRINI
APRIL 27TH 1971 - NOVEMBER 19TH 2025
When considering what I was gonna say about Jeff, I thought I could use some phrases or words from his obituary or facebook or something but that wouldn’t be genuine. As I’m sitting here writing this, I have so many memories of Jeff in my head and they all involve music. Jeff was such an incredible being, he was such a supporter of not only 717 Entertainment but the local / regional scene in general. The flooding of posts on socia media proved how much he meant to so many. The Yo Show was one of the best ways for muscians to get some exposure and to have an down to earth conversation w/ a guy who loved music more than most. I was lucky enough to be featured on the show and it was my favorite interview that I’ve done. He just had such a passion and you could feel it in every word he spoke. He was always posting about shows or bands or muscians. Anything he could do to help. Many times I’d get messages from him saying “you need to check out…” and it was always an awesome band. The only thing he loved more than music was his lovely wife Cassie who is still keeping his memory alive in a way that anyone would be proud of. She’s also kept the Yo Show going which I gaurentee Jeff is happy about. Oh, there is one more thing he loved and that was his beloved Birds, the Philadelphia Eagles. When I go to a show I imagine him there, or when I’m watching a game I imagine him posting on facebook how amazing they are doing or how stupid they are for losing. haha… I’ll leave you w/ one of my favorite memories. I did my 400th show in May of this past year. It was two nights at The Underground Live in Camp Hill. Jeff got a hotel, came both nights w/ his Cooler of beer and was up front rocking out to every single band. People like Jeff are why I do what I do and I’ll never forget him…
