ROCK FEST

Rock Fest lends an alternative to Inkcarceration & Upheaval as it’s the same weekend. This one begins on Thursday though which gives it an early start. In fact, they do a Pre-Show Kickoff party on Wednesday night and that’s becoming bigger each year. This year the Wednesday “Bonus Bash” features Candlebox, Buckcherry, Dying Wish, Deathbyromy, Earshot and others. The festival itself features alot of up-and-coming talent such as the Rachet Dolls, Silvertung, Amerakin Overdose among others. No stranger to big headliners they included Gojira, Limp Bizkit and The Offspring as their big acts this year.

FIVE BANDS TO CHECK OUT AT ROCKFEST:

HATEBREED - This is probably a given but there is no reason to miss one second of Hatebreed ever. They put on one of the most fun metal concerts you can possibly ask for. In your face while Vocalist Jamey Jasta smiles his way through the set.
BODY COUNT - Ice-T’s metal outfit has been around so much longer then most realize and damn do they slay live. The earlier stuff really hits hard during the set, songs like namesake “Body Count”, “Cop Killer’ and “There Goes the neighborhood”.
THE PRETTY RECKLESS - Lucy Lou and company are touring w/ AC/DC much of this year so if you don’t want to catch that you have limited options and this is one of them.
MISS MAY I - We had this band at lovedrafts and they had one of the most brutal pits ever. They put a real stamp on any day w/ their full in your face energy.
UNTIL I WAKE - These guys are quietly rising the ranks on these festivals. They can play w/ anyone and not be outshined.
